What is a Jewish child? I am not being obtuse here. A child is a child, and they are only Jewish if they are raised by Jewish people. I thought the whole fun of adopting a child was that I got to raise them my way. Is the child Jewish because their original parents were Jewish or because their foster parents are Jewish?
